Dr. Perriello grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia. She graduated from Princeton University, where she played field hockey and lacrosse. After medical school at George Washington University, she completed residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. For two years after residency, she was a staff physician at Children’s Hospital of Boston before moving home to join Pediatric Associates in 2008. She is focused on health inequities, as well as mitigating the impact of childhood trauma. She enjoys seeing the second, third and fourth generation of patients that her father cared for as a founding doctor at Pediatric Associates. Dr. Perriello serves on the board of the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and leads the Trauma Informed Leadership Team at Pediatric Associates. Additionally, she serves on the board of the Community Climate Collaborative and has recently joined the Steering Committee for the Greater Charlottesville Trauma Informed Community Network.
Dr. Perriello and her husband have three daughters.
