Dr. Trundle grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and went to Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. While there, he studied Spanish both on campus and in Salamanca, Spain, This started his life long interest in Spanish. He led hiking and biking trips for adolescents in the Pacific Northwest and Rockies while in college and continued working with children after graduation. He taught Spanish for four years at Hampton Roads Academy. He then attended Virginia Commonwealth University for his pre-med requirements, followed by medical school at the University of Virginia. He also completed his pediatric residency at UVA. Dr. Trundle sees patients in English and Spanish.
He volunteers as a camp doctor at Camp Holiday Trails. He has been married to his wife, Sarah, since he was a teacher and they have three children, Maggie, Liza and Shep. Dr. Trundle enjoys playing squash, kayaking and camping.
