We know many of you are eagerly anticipating approval of 12-15 year old COVID booster vaccines.  The ACIP just met yesterday and, based on their recommendation, the CDC has approved the booster for this age group and we can begin offering it to our patients.  However, since we are still quite busy vaccinating the 5-11 year old patients, seeing your sick children as well as testing patients daily for COVID, we do not have the capacity to add weekend or evening vaccine clinics at this time.  We have been quite humbled to find ourselves at our highest level of testing and positivity that we’ve seen in the pandemic by far, and it takes hours of our day just to call families with positive test results.  If you would like to schedule the booster with us – we have availability starting the first week in February and would encourage you to use the portal to send a message that you would like to be contacted to schedule.  For those of you eager to get a booster for your child sooner, please utilize the Community Vaccination Center in Seminole Square where you can schedule an appointment and walk-ins are accepted Mondays – Saturdays 8-6.
