Central Virginia Children’s Wellness Initiative

Over the years, Pediatric Associates has made it a priority to improve the lives of our patients in and out of the office.  Examples of these efforts include volunteering at community events, the Reach Out and Read books that all children receive at well visits from 6 months – 5 years, and the food pantry that our beloved nurse practitioner Kelly Vincel has championed.  However the support for programs such as these have largely been bootstrap fundraising and pleas for help.  In order to better provide for these programs, Doctors Armengol, Brown and Perriello have founded a new non-profit organization; the Central Virginia Wellness Initiative.  This will make it easier to sustain giving Reach Out and Read books to our patients, support the food pantry and work with the Blue Ridge Health Department to bring on site care to the most vulnerable patient populations with difficulty accessing a doctor in our community.  Click on the link below to learn more about how to support these important programs!
